Company description:: CLAYTON, MO., April 1, 2004 – Clayton investor Kevin Bowe and Kansas City partner Rich Jacobsen purchased 10% of the national cost management consultancy Alliance Cost Containment. The two will work with ACC founder and principal owner Douglas Arbuckle of Louisville, Kentucky to franchise the business and open 100 new franchises by the end of 2005. ACC currently has 36 affiliates in 21 states.
Financial terms of the purchase were not released.
“This is a clear opportunity for Rick and me to help more ‘home town’ companies across America to save real money, keep jobs here at home, and improve competitiveness,” said Alliance Cost Containment Vice President Kevin Bowe.
To achieve the ambitious franchising growth Bowe said he’ll focus on improving brand marketing, target talented franchisees in key locations, and provide those entrepreneurs with more effective and accelerated training. In their new positions as Vice Presidents, Bowe and Jacobsen will draw on their extensive experience providing consulting and outsourcing services to technology companies in the US and Europe to introduce new services, win larger engagements, and attract top talent to the Alliance Cost Containment network.
Alliance Cost Containment saved nearly 400 clients some $50 million since its 1992 inception. Affiliates help companies reduce operating expenses by competitively re-negotiating select recurring purchases to ensure companies get the best price available for comparable goods and services. Clients’ pay only upon what they actually save, and most clients report continued savings long after the end of the one-year implementation period.
